Cognos 8.4 experience is mandatory. They are on 10 and that experience is an added bonus
Strong backend experience – oracle and ms sql server experience is a MUST
Need to have strong understanding of the framework, data modeling.
This first project is focused on the survey data but overall they have three large projects so this position will have plenty of work moving forward.
Primary duties will include, but not be limited to, analysis, development, implementation, and support of data warehouse initiatives, using IBM Cognos 10.x BI platform on Oracle RDBMS or MS SQL.
The candidate will have knowledge of Business Intelligence methodologies, along with experience in the implementation of Enterprise Data Warehousing data integration, data staging and the real-time updating of data warehouses. The candidate is expected to work within a group to development, testing and maintaining of databases and application programs.
Expert ETL background (SSIS and/or OWB), Solid relational database
Background MS SQL 2005-08,Strong Cognos 8.4 – 10 experience
