Job Tittle : Sr Oracle DBA
Location : NJC,NJ
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Rate : DOE

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate must have 9+  years of  experience with a minimum of 7 years experience as a DBA on all aspects of Oracle Database Administration in a large challenging database environment on Unix / Linux platform. 
Experience supporting internet/web based database applications with heavy concurrent user volume.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include: 
Experience working on 10g RAC database applications, Oracle TDE, OEM Grid control, RMAN.
Good UNIX Sun Solaris and Linux knowledge is a plus.
Skilled in SQL statement tuning with understanding of AWR and StatsPack reports, database performance tuning and PL/SQL programming.
Basic understanding of Connection pooling and middleware software like JBoss, JRun, Tom Cat, IBM Web sphere is desired.
Hands on Experience of implementing Oracle 9i and 10G database on UNIX and Linux platform is a must.
Willingness to work on-call DBA rotations in a 7x24 environment.
Working knowledge of MSSQL Server databases is a Plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform professional level technical documentation and presentation.
Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficient at time and priority management.
