Windows Server Administrator - Integration Engineer in San Francisco CA.

Duration- 6 Months with possibility of extension

Must have-

 Qualifications: Window Server Administration 

Minimum Years Required: 7

Qualifications: IIS Administration
Minimum Years Required: 5

Qualification: Networking, IP adressing, routing, DHCP/DNS
Minimum Years Required: 7

Qualification: Monitoring tools (HP OVO)
Minimum Years Required: 7

Qualification: MSBUILD/WIX
Minimum Years Required: 5

 The resource will:

 -Work closely with application teams to deploy, manage and support Microsoft technology based applications to Windows Server environment. Work with version control tools like Clearcase/SVN.

- Perform day to day routine administration tasks of Windows servers deployed in clustered/virtual environment, troubleshot issues, identify root cause and proactively fix it

- Work closely with the Application team and the enterprise security team for security model for the applications on the server (firewall etc…)

- Perform build related activities, build binaries, deploy to appserver, rollback if needed, create production package etc…

- Monitor performance of the application and work with the application team to perform Server performance tuning for better performance of the application

- Manage and work with enterprise teams for IP addressing, DHCP/DNS, routing, SSL etc…

- Setup and manage application monitoring using HP OVO, report statistics out o it, fix alerts.

- Work with enterprise storage support team for SAN/NAS configuration for the application, troubleshoot any mounting issues

- Create department documentation ad ensure compliance towards the client's enterprise policies/procedures

Preferred if the resource can also:

- Create MS build scripts for binary/assemblies build

- Create/configure WIX (or any equivalent build tools) for MSI build and deploy to IIS

- Assist DBA in SQL SERVER DB configuration/deployment/performance issues/replication

- Code analysis/review of VB.Net/ASP.NET code

  1. Very strong in Windows server Administration & Troubleshooting/Root cause analysis
  2. Good Knowledge in Handling SVN or Source control which integrate with Windows
  3. Good Knowledge about Windows server Security Model including Windows Firewall especially 2008 servers
  4. Strong skill in IIS Administration
  5. Strong skill in Windows Server Performance Tuning

Position Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years server administration in a Microsoft environment.
• Significant hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory
• Detailed working knowledge of network fundamentals, IP addressing, routing, DHCP and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with VMware 4/5 and blade server hardware.
• Hands-on experience managing and configuring system monitoring/alerting, preferably using HP OVO
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing SAN/NAS hardware, preferably EMC/NetApp.
• Experience managing SSL
• Experience using automation tools to streamline workflows.
• Experience with cloud storage solutions and data replication.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Pluses:

Strong analysis and VB.NET;ASP.Net development skills.

Develop in Windows 7.x environment
SQL Server setup clustering and replication

Visual Studio, JavaScript, VBScript, and Visual Basic in
the DotNet environment
development with IIS/ASP

Msbuild and WIX windows installer
