Technical Project Manager

Location : Newport News, VA

Duration : 6+ Months 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum Education Required:

§  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

§  Industry recognised Project Management certification, such as PRINCE2 or PMP.

 

Minimum Experience Required:

§  8-10 years professional experience. 

§  5-8 years of project experience in IT field with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.  

§  5 years experience in a Project Manager role.

 

Specialist Skills Required:

§  Information Security project delivery experience.

§  Enterprise infrastructure development experience, not simply deployment/rollout focused.

§  Strong level of self-sufficiency and able to exploit initiative.

§  Clear understanding of the structure and importance of Project Management methodology.

§  Ability to manage various simultaneous projects.

§  Strong analytical and financial awareness skills.

§  Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and MS Project software.

§  Experience using Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) tools

§  Strong time management, communication and organisational skills approach.

 

Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory, including arriving and departing at specific times dictated by workload. In addition, working overtime maybe required by the projects, with proper cause.
